Somewhere over the rainbow isn’t as far away as you think! The Movie Gang is bringing Oz to the Franklin Theatre on Friday, April 12th! Follow Dorothy down the yellow brick road! Watch this legendary film Movie Gang style! Sing along, quote along, and experience interactive surprises during the movie! With a fully decorated theatre and surprise lighting during the film, you’ll remember this night forever! Doors are at 6 pm so make sure you get there early to snag a free yellow brick road Rice Krispie treat, made specially by Franklin’s own Triple Crown Bakery! We will also be giving out free lollipops (courtesy of the lollipop guild) and instructions on when to eat them! Plus other fun qoute along moments! Bring the whole family! Welcome to Jurassic Park! "Hold on to your butts" because the Movie Gang is taking Jurassic Park to the next level! Big dinosaurs belong on big screens! On March 13th, see the 1993 classic on our legendary Franklin Theatre screen like never before! The Movie Gang are taking over and transforming our theatre to feel like you’re visiting our own little Jurassic Park. Decorations, Treats, Lights, and even see fossils of ancient predators and a presentation by Vertebrate Paleontologist Dr. Larisa DeSantis! THE LITTLE MERMAID

Wednesday February 13th!

Wish we could be part of your world! The Movie Gang presents the Disney classic, “The Little Mermaid”, on February 13th! We were so pleased to find out we could score this film and present it in all it’s glory! Doors open at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. We have a night of fun planned for you all! We will be turning the theatre into the film! 

You’ll be able to enter a free raffle hosted by THIRD COAST CLAY, The Factory’s home for pottery painting fun. Win gift cards and more!  You’ll be able to meet and take a selfie with princess Ariel! Take some free Hershey Kisses but don’t eat them until the song “Kiss the Girl”!

For Disney fans, we will have a “thinga-ma-bobs” table selling fun used Disney merch! Some vintage items, buttons, and more! Plus you never know what surprises will pop up during the film!  We love our events and the whole movie loving gang we are growing! Tell your friends and family to come sing loud , quote along, and see it back on the big screen!

I can't believe my eyes, I must be dreaming! Wake up, Jack, this isn't fair!  The Movie Gang is throwing their biggest party of the year! For this year’s Christmas party, we are showing “The Nightmare Before Christmas”!

We are so happy to be back at our Franklin Theatre home and thankful to all of you loyal followers who come out and make these nights so fun! 

For The Nightmare Before Christmas, we are going all out! Come see the most movie decorations we’ve ever had! We are giving out free candy canes, free stickers for you super movie fans, plus we are having live Christmas caroling on stage before the film!

And you never know what surprises might happen after the movie starts!

November might not be as magical as Christmas but it definitely has a magic of it’s own and the lights are just about to glow! What movie fits for that? Edward Scissorhands of course! A Tim Burton legendary films. A movie that was such a glimpse into Johnny Depp’s future career and endless character talent. We can’t wait to bring this movie to life at the Franklin Theatre. For starters, our friends from the Blockhouse barber shop at the Factory in Franklin will be in the house raffling off free haircuts and merch!  Don’t worry, they don’t cut hair like Edward does! Also, Franklin’s Triple Crown Bakery are baking us free heart shaped sugar cookies! Just like the ones Vincent Price bakes in the movie! Edward Scissorhands is on sale now and we have a ton in store! Halloween is on the horizon! That means it’s time for a Movie Gang Halloween party! 

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS! Sing along and sing loud to this classic film back on the big screen! Seymour (Rick Moranis) finds a strange and exotic plant that only wants human blood to eat and doesn’t care where Seymour gets it! In true Movie Gang fashion, we will be rocking the theatre with fun lights during songs, decorations, and even some free Halloween treats! The lobby will be decorated in the spirit of halloween and the movie theme! Audrey 2 (the evil plant) will be on display for a photo booth type photo… if you dare!!!  We love this movie and we love Halloween! Be ready for a night of horror and fun! FEED ME!

Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me! Ahoy mateys! The Movie Gang presents “Pirate Night” at the Franklin Theatre!  Captain Jack sparrow is in desperate search for the Black Pearl! He needs all the pirate support he can get! So bring all your family and friends Thursday September 7th to the Franklin Theatre.  Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl !  This Movie Gang night will be a movie going experience like no other time you have seen it!  From surprise lights timed with cannons to free giveaways!  Truly transforming the night to a full pirate theme. The Movie Gang is Back! But more importantly so is Arnold to save us all! The Movie Gang Presents Terminator 2, Judgement Day! July 5tth just one day after we celebrate Americas independence, the future comes back to try and take it from us but the Terminator is coming to the Franklin Theatre to save us all! We are bringing you this awesome action packed, sci fi, Arnold classic back to the big screen but in a whole new way. Over the top fun. Wear your Red, White, and Blue to support Arnolds battle for America! Make sure you’re there early and participate in an Arnold voice contest! The “I’ll Be Back” impersonation. It’s a Movie Gang 80’s night! We are so excited to bring you THE WEDDING SINGER! A movie full of classic 80’s hits and fashion! In true Movie Gang fashion, we are gonna bring the 80’s nostalgia and fill the Franklin Theatre with that spirit! You’ll get to see this hilarious Adam Sandler & Drew Berrymore classic back on the big screen plus pre-movie festivities! Wear your best 80’s outfit and come at doors to enjoy the full experience! Rock out to 80’s jams filling the theatre, plus we’ll have a karaoke machine set up onstage! Come up and sing your favorite 80’s song on the Franklin Theater Stage! Don’t be nervous! The Wedding Singer 80’s night event will be a perfect Saturday night to bring all your friends to party. Thursday, May The 4th! Also popularly referred to as MAY THE 4TH Be With You! A day to celebrate Star Wars! We decided to celebrate Movie Gang style with…… SPACEBALLS!!!! That’s right, the hilarious, Mel Brooks, Star-Wars-mocking comedy, “SPACEBALLS”, is coming to the Franklin Theatre! “There goes the planet”! This movie is a laugh out loud good time throughout the galaxy. With characters Like DARK HELMET (played by Rick Moranis), John Candy as BARF, and Mel Brooks as YOGURT, the Golden skinned magical YODA type character, this is a night you won’t want to miss! We will also throw a pre-movie costume contest on stage with prizes. Come dressed as a goofy “fail” version of your favorite Star Wars character. The ugliest costume will be the winner!!! #nailedit. Also, in honor of the character “Pizza The Hut”, who is made of pizza, we will be having a pizza party. Our goal is to always bring the heart and soul of a film to life and this event will be no different! From the time the doors open to the end of the film, Saturday, April 22nd, will be a royal night of fun. At the time of doors, we will be hosting a pre-movie lobby art show featuring a few of our favorite local artists with pieces inspired by the film. Cory Basil, “When Bunnies Fly” By Alexis Colbert, & Olivia Noel Art will all be featured. Also to honor the great queen Princess Buttercup, we will be giving away free peanut butter cups. As you wish!!!! So many more surprises to come!

Aca-scuse me? The Barden Bellas are coming to the Franklin Theatre? That’s right Pitches! The day After Valentines Day! The Movie Gang Presents PITCH PERFECT on Wednesday, February 15th, to celebrate Singles Awareness Day! Whether you have or haven’t seen this movie before, this event will be how you want to experience it. We are taking the laugh out loud comedy and bringing it to life. Lights! Sing Alongs! Even live acapella music! 

The mega talented sister group Cimorelli will be performing live acapella songs onstage about 20 minutes before the movie starts! So get there at doors and get ready for a good time!

Gizmo’s owner ignores the simple instructions to prevent Gizmo from multiplying and chaos ensues! Stripe and his gang will not stop until every light is turned off. Not your typical Christmas movie but that’s what makes Gremlins such a legendary film through the ages. You’ll laugh, scream, and be ready to fight and defend your favorite holiday! Since this is a Christmas Movie Gang event, you can expect a whole lot of surprises. A decorated theater, free candy canes, a free raffle with lots of cool prizes, and more!
