The Movie Gang is back and excited to present the goofiest Movie Gang event yet! Perfect for fun Halloween vibes. Killer Klowns From Outer Space! This movie is one of our all time favorite movies and we are ready to throw a party that does it justice! These are not your typical scary clowns but unique, comedic alien clowns! An 80’s VHS classic back on the big screen! This clown-tastic night will be full of free candy treats to eat along with scenes in the movie. The lobby and theatre will be decorated just like the Klowns Carnival! As you enter the lobby, grab your clown bag and fill it with candy to eat along with scenes from the movie. We’ve been checking the pulse of our town and we felt the beat! We have a one-of-a-kind theatre in a one-of-a-kind town, so we want to bring all you one-of-a-kind people together for a fun and unique experience to share with your friends, in an environment you can only get with us! Something Different for Franklin, TN! We’re kicking it off Tuesday, July 9th! Punk rock AND a movie? But how?
Vinnie Caruana, lead singer of The MovieLife & I Am The Avalanche will play a full acoustic set of all his classic jams. Come hear the songs that have been anthems for many sweaty club nights, stripped down acoustic on our refurbished vintage stage! Then grab your popcorn and get back to your seat to see his movie pick of “Three Amigos”! Laugh out loud and quote along!
This is more than just a show. It’s Something Different! Doors open at 6 PM! We’ll have a DJ on stage playing true punk, real emo, and classic indie songs. Videos will be on screen. Enjoy free Baby Ruths, Free eye patches, Lights, and even more surprisies as Sloth and company travel down through the old caves and caverns to find One Eyed Willy’s Treasure! Welcome to Jurassic Park! "Hold on to your butts" because the Movie Gang is taking Jurassic Park to the next level! Big dinosaurs belong on big screens! On March 13th, see the 1993 classic on our legendary Franklin Theatre screen like never before! The Movie Gang are taking over and transforming our theatre to feel like you’re visiting our own little Jurassic Park. Decorations, Treats, Lights, and even see fossils of ancient predators and a presentation by Vertebrate Paleontologist Dr. Larisa DeSantis! Wish we could be part of your world! The Movie Gang presents the Disney classic, “The Little Mermaid”, on February 13th! We were so pleased to find out we could score this film and present it in all it’s glory! Doors open at 6:00 PM and the movie starts at 7:00 PM. We have a night of fun planned for you all! We will be turning the theatre into the film!
You’ll be able to enter a free raffle hosted by THIRD COAST CLAY, The Factory’s home for pottery painting fun. Win gift cards and more! You’ll be able to meet and take a selfie with princess Ariel! Take some free Hershey Kisses but don’t eat them until the song “Kiss the Girl”!
For Disney fans, we will have a “thinga-ma-bobs” table selling fun used Disney merch! Some vintage items, buttons, and more! Plus you never know what surprises will pop up during the film! November might not be as magical as Christmas but it definitely has a magic of it’s own and the lights are just about to glow! What movie fits for that? Edward Scissorhands of course! A Tim Burton legendary films. A movie that was such a glimpse into Johnny Depp’s future career and endless character talent. We can’t wait to bring this movie to life at the Franklin Theatre. For starters, our friends from the Blockhouse barber shop at the Factory in Franklin will be in the house raffling off free haircuts and merch! Don’t worry, they don’t cut hair like Edward does! Also, Franklin’s Triple Crown Bakery are baking us free heart shaped sugar cookies! Just like the ones Vincent Price bakes in the movie! Edward Scissorhands is on sale now and we have a ton in store! Halloween is on the horizon! That means it’s time for a Movie Gang Halloween party!
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS! Sing along and sing loud to this classic film back on the big screen! Seymour (Rick Moranis) finds a strange and exotic plant that only wants human blood to eat and doesn’t care where Seymour gets it! In true Movie Gang fashion, we will be rocking the theatre with fun lights during songs, decorations, and even some free Halloween treats! The lobby will be decorated in the spirit of halloween and the movie theme! Audrey 2 (the evil plant) will be on display for a photo booth type photo… if you dare!!! We love this movie and we love Halloween! Be ready for a night of horror and fun! FEED ME!

Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me! Ahoy mateys! The Movie Gang presents “Pirate Night” at the Franklin Theatre! Captain Jack sparrow is in desperate search for the Black Pearl! He needs all the pirate support he can get! So bring all your family and friends Thursday September 7th to the Franklin Theatre. Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl ! This Movie Gang night will be a movie going experience like no other time you have seen it! From surprise lights timed with cannons to free giveaways! Truly transforming the night to a full pirate theme. We don’t want to spoil all the surprises but Doors open at 6:30 so get there and don’t miss out on free Chocolate Gold Pirate coins or the free raffle! July 5tth just one day after we celebrate Americas independence, the future comes back to try and take it from us but the Terminator is coming to the Franklin Theatre to save us all! We are bringing you this awesome action packed, sci fi, Arnold classic back to the big screen but in a whole new way. Over the top fun. In true Movie Gang fashion, we are gonna bring the 80’s nostalgia and fill the Franklin Theatre with that spirit! You’ll get to see this hilarious Adam Sandler & Drew Berrymore classic back on the big screen plus pre-movie festivities! Wear your best 80’s outfit and come at doors to enjoy the full experience! Thursday, May The 4th! Also popularly referred to as MAY THE 4TH Be With You! A day to celebrate Star Wars! We decided to celebrate Movie Gang style with…… SPACEBALLS!!!! That’s right, the hilarious, Mel Brooks, Star-Wars-mocking comedy, “SPACEBALLS”, is coming to the Franklin Theatre! “There goes the planet”! This movie is a laugh out loud good time throughout the galaxy. With characters Like DARK HELMET (played by Rick Moranis), John Candy as BARF, and Mel Brooks as YOGURT, the Golden skinned magical YODA type character, this is a night you won’t want to miss! We will also throw a pre-movie costume contest on stage with prizes. Come dressed as a goofy “fail” version of your favorite Star Wars character. The ugliest costume will be the winner!!! #nailedit. Also, in honor of the character “Pizza The Hut”, who is made of pizza, we will be having a pizza party. Pizza by the slice will be for sale before the movie in the lobby! Our goal is to always bring the heart and soul of a film to life and this event will be no different! From the time the doors open to the end of the film, Saturday, April 22nd, will be a royal night of fun. At the time of doors, we will be hosting a pre-movie lobby art show featuring a few of our favorite local artists with pieces inspired by the film. Cory Basil, “When Bunnies Fly” By Alexis Colbert, & Olivia Noel Art will all be featured. Also to honor the great queen Princess Buttercup, we will be giving away free peanut butter cups. As you wish!!!! So many more surprises to come!
